The corporate social responsibility is an important and complex concept. These are specific obligations undertaken by the Company before the society for its actions and their social implications, as well as before the owners and employees of the enterprise.



The human capital was always the major factor of competitiveness and economic development of the Company. The tasks that our Company is facing today can be solved only by the close-knit team with common concordant efforts.

The corporate management policy regarding "Centrenergo" six thousand personnel first of all is based on economic incentives, social guarantees focused on convergence of the employee interests with the enterprise interests in achievement of high labor productivity, improvement of production efficiency and achievement of the highest economic results from the Company activity.

The Company's experts are highly skilled professions having significant experience in the power engineering sector. The structure of the personnel consists of 92 % of the employees involved in the main operating activity and 8 % of the employees involved in other activities non-relevant to the electricity production sector. The industrial and production personnel is composed of 56 % of operating staff and 44 % of the maintenance staff.

In the near future we plan to concentrate attention on manpower positioning and deployment, organization of its internal rotation with purpose of staffing systematization.

The major interior legal document which governs the relations between the employees and the management of the Company is the collective labor agreement which displays practically all activities of the Company in the field of production, labor and social and economic relations.

The Company is currently working on the comprehensive program on recovery and development of the labor potential which will include the staff health improvement, decrease of occupational diseases level, increase of health services level, formation of the personnel reserve and enhancement of work conditions and safety. It is planned to finance the Program due the Company's own funds.

The Company is currently focused on improvement of the professional competence of the employees. With purpose of the staff training the Company involves the departments of the higher educational institutions, the simulator training center at Vuglegirska TPP and the training center at Zmiivska TPP, as well as organizes the seminars, short-term courses provided by different inter-branch institutions and on-the-job technical training for the on duty shifts and teams.

The Company offers to all employees a full package of social services, both stipulated by the legislation and additional ones that comply with the Company's policy on creation of substantial incentives, improvement of social sphere and well-being of the employees.

Environmental protection

The power system enterprises in general and PJSC "Centrenergo" TPPs in particular which transform the coal into pure energy and owing to the process specificity have a negative impact to the environment and considered as main sources of environmental pollution.
Among all kinds of their harmful impact to the environment the most serious and hazardous is an impact to the atmospheric air caused by greenhouse gas with flue gases emissions from the boilers, mainly carbon dioxide and polluting substances (sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxides, ashes, etc.).


Every year "Centrenergo" invests significant funds into technical re-equipment and rehabilitation of the fixed assets. But, in the same time, the social activity remains one of the major objectives of the Company. The improvement and creation of safer and more comfortable working conditions for the employees are the priorities of the Company achieved by development and implementation of modern social standards and substantial financial investments into establishment of the stable social environment. Thus the social responsibility is extended not only to the employees, but also to all people concerned by the Company activity.The major activities of the Company with regard to implementation of the social policy fundamentals are the stable wages and social protection of the personnel, provision of privileges and target financial support, assistance in development of social infrastructure
that guarantees worthy working conditions and recreation, health improvement, treatment and professional development for the employees. The newly approved Collective labor agreement for 2019 - 2021 declares the directions of the Company social policy which cover the provisions about the Company's major liabilities concerning the interests of the employees.The close attention is paid to the inquiries and needs of the personnel of the enterprise. The Company management and the trade-unions organization try to create all conditions for improvement of the well-being and industrial environment for the workers.  The Company provides funding and maintenance of the public catering facilities, sanatoria and recreation centers, culture centers, sports complexes, kindergartens, other social infrastructure facilities on the balance of the
Company, it organizes their efficient operation and use of the reserves for achievement of their best performances. According to the laws of Ukraine there is ongoing transfer of the social infrastructure facilities to the communal property of the local communities. The Company helps its employees in improvement of their housing conditions. The construction of the apartment house in the town of Svitlodarsk for the employees of Vuglegirska TPP is coming to the end. Being the town-forming enterprises, "Centrenergo" power plants participate actively in improvement, gardening, building and maintenance works on infrastructure facilities of the towns of Svitlodarsk, Ukrainka and village Komsomolske.
